Boys' Bantam
Grades 2 - 3
The Bantam League is geared toward young boys just being introduced to the sport of basketball. Skills to be taught in this league include dribbling, passing, shooting and defending. In competing with others in the community, boys are able to develop a strong ethic of sportsmanship, learning to compete in a friendly manner. For this league, players use Junior size basketballs and play with the hoop adjusted to a height of 8 feet.
Each week during practice, we take time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ.

First Practice: 9/16/10, Thursday, at 5:00 or 6:00pm. Please check this webpage at a later date to see schedule for your child. There are no skill assessments for this league. Check website for posting of Team Rosters and Practice Times. Parent Meeting: 9/16/10 during your child's first practice. Game Day and Times: Saturdays at 8:30am, 9:45am or 11:00am Practice Day and Times: Thursdays, Check webpage at later date for times. Jersey: First Friends Church jersey's are NOT included in the cost of the league. Those who participated in our leagues last year will not need to purchase another jersey. All others will need to purchase one for an additional cost. Festival: Season ends with Festival on November 20, 2010. Times to be announced at later date. Check website for specific times Questions?
