AA

Boys Ages 9-10

The third tier in the First Friends Baseball ministry is the AA kid pitch league. This league is designed for boys ages 9-10 to learn the fundamentals of the game in a fun, friendly, slightly competitive environment. The teams practice 1 day a week and the first few Saturdays, with games taking place on Saturday after a few weeks and some weekdays. This league introduces young players to pitching for the first time. Regulation baseballs are used. Games are 1 1/2 hours long, the entire roster bats, and players have the opportunity to play various positions. While the focus remains fun and skill development, we begin to introduce competition and the keeping of score for this league. Each week, we take the time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ. We introduce CSPs at this level which includes, scripture memory verses. The league concludes with a festival day that includes skills competitions, food, and awards for each player.
