The AAA league is designed for boys ages 11-12 and is continued exposure for players to live pitching. More emphasis is placed on proper pitching techniques. While the First Friends' distinction of fun, fellowship, and instruction are still emphasized, this league introduces young players to the more competitive aspects of baseball. The league will meet twice a week on weekdays and Saturday for practices. As the season progresses game days will be on Saturdays and some Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evenings. We will have six inning games using a regulation baseball and scores will be kept. This league allows all players to play an infield and an outfield position and the entire roster bats. Each week, we take the time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ. These devotional times will be held prior to the games and will include player participation and memory verses which will count towards championship series points (CSPs). Attendance at devotional times will also be counted towards CSPs. There will be a tournament at the end of the season as well as a league festival that includes food, fun, participation awards, and league champion awards.
