The Bantam League is geared toward young girls just being introduced to the sport of basketball. Skills to be taught in this league include dribbling, passing, shooting and defending. In competing with others in the community, girls are able to develop a strong ethic of sportsmanship, learning to compete in a friendly manner. For this league, players use Junior size basketballs and play with the hoop adjusted to a height of 8 feet. Each week during practice, we take time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ.
