Girls' Bantam
Grades 2 - 3
The Bantam League is geared toward young girls just being introduced to the sport of basketball. Skills to be taught in this league include dribbling, passing, shooting and defending. In competing with others in the community, girls are able to develop a strong ethic of sportsmanship, learning to compete in a friendly manner. For this league, players use Junior size basketballs and play with the hoop adjusted to a height of 8 feet.
Each week during practice, we take time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ.

CLICK HERE TO PRINT REGISTRATION FORM First Practice: 9/16/10, Thursday at 5:00 or 6:00pm. Please check webpage at later date for schedule, team rosters and practice times. There are no skill assessments for this league. Mandatory Parent's Meeting: During the first practice. Game Day and Times: Saturdays at 8:30am, 9:45am or 11:00am Practice Day and Times: Thursdays at 5:00 or 6:00pm. Check web page for listing of Team Rosters and Practice Times. Jersey: First Friends Church jersey's are NOT included in the cost of the league. Those who participated in our leagues last year will not need to purchase a jersey. All others will need to purchase one for an additional cost.. Festival: Season ends with festival on 11/20/10. Times to be announced at later date. Check website for specific times. Questions?
