Blue league change of location

The Blue league girl's softball game will be held at First Friends this Saturday, May 19th at 12:30.  Huddle will be at 12:10 in the pavilion.

Girls Fast Pitch Softball Age 7-9

This league is designed for girls ages 7 - 9 to have a basic introduction to the fundamentals skills of fast pitch softball, including catching, throwing, hitting, pitching, and base running. This is a coach pitch league and uses 11" softie softballs. Please see the rules for more detailed information.

The teams consist of 9 -12 players and 2 coaches. There will be 8 games and 1 practice a week.

A short devotional time is held prior to each game. The league concludes with a festival day that includes skills competitions, food, and awards for each player.

Registration Registrations for 2012 league are available online and in the church brochure racks. We will accept registrations with payment in the Sports Office until April 13 or until the league is full, whichever occurs first. Child registering must be age 7 yrs. by May 30th. Fee must be turned in with completed registration form.

Practices on Fridays at Simpson UMC at 5:00pm or 6:30pm

Games will be on Saturdays at 12:30pm at one of the two locations listed below:

Skill Assessment for girls ages 7-9:  April 14 at 12:00noon at First Friends Church gym.  Please wear inside gym shoes.   Mandatory Parents' Meeting:  at same time as skill assessment   Practices:  One day a week  Games:  Saturdays  Festival:  June 30

Skill Assessments:  All participants need to be present. 
Equipment Needed:  Softball Glove.  Softball cleats and pants are recommended.
Shirts and Hats:  Each member will receive a team shirt, visor and award.
Socks:  Will be offered at a fee of $5.00 - not required

Coaches Meeting March 31 at 9:30am-10:30am or April 3 at 6:00pm-7:00pm at First Friends Church  Come in gym entrance and please plan to come to one of the meetings if you are volunteering to be a coach.
