Skills which will be learned in this league include serving, serve reception, setting, passing, blocking, and transitioning.  Athletes in the Junior High League use standard USVA equipment with no adaptation. Each team consists of a roster of 9 players and two coaches. There are 8 games, with practices once a week.

Immediately following the practices (starting the practice before the first game), we take time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ in our huddle time, which will last approximately 15-20 minutes. Players and coaches are also encouraged to memorize scripture verses weekly.

Note: According to OHSAA regulations, there is a limit of how many athletes participating on same school teams can play on a team in First Friends Leagues.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) is the governing body of athletic programs for junior and senior high schools in the state of Ohio.

3 Values of All-Out Sports

All-Out Sports takes its value of Athletic Excellence seriously! We seek to teach our players the game of volleyball in an age appropriate, healthy and encouraging environment.

All-Out Sports believes that there is such a thing as ‘healthy competition.’ When we strive to make each other better by giving 100% on the court, challenging our opponents to do the same, everyone wins!

All-Out Sports recognizes that while we may have a few hours a week to train your students, parents and guardians have invaluable time away from the court to help their young players grow in the sport. We help to equip you to be a great coach at home!

Special Request Policy:
The First Friends Sports Outreach staff is committed to making the Youth Volleyball program a quality league that seeks to accommodate the needs of those who choose to participate.  That is because each individual matters to our league, to our staff and to our church.  This is the reason that the All Out Sports program allows parents the opportunity to write in certain requests/preferences.  However, due to the large number of requests that we receive each season, it is impossible for our staff to fulfill every request.

Here is how the requests are prioritized:
1) Health Issues/Special Situations
2) Family
3) Carpool and Transportation
4) Preferences

That said, the First Friends Sports Outreach staff also recognizes that, in a league of our size, mistakes will be made.  If this is the case (i.e. your child is in the wrong division, an imperative carpool link is not met), then we would be happy to discuss a solution.  This can be done by contacting the First Friends Sports office at 330-966-6868.  However, any other preference not met was the result of the above system of priorities and the rosters would be set as final.  Again, we do our best to accommodate as many requests as we can and regret any inconvenience.

Coaches Training Date:
Parents, if interested in helping with coaching, please indicate so on registration form and plan to attend Training Meeting TBA at First Friends Church.
