The Volleyball Clinic is for girls in grade 2 and 3. It is an 8 week fun and exciting time in which young girls will learn the basic skills of the game of volleyball.

This league will play in a three division format, breaking up the players by grade and ability. It is designed for girls in grades 4, 5 and 6. Players of any skill, beginner through advanced are welcome. Skill assessments for registered girls are held in late November, early December, and practices beginning in January with the season ending in March each year. The Clinic is a fun and exciting time in which boys and girls in Kindergarten and First Grade will learn the basic skills of the game of basketball. How does the Clinic Operate? The children are placed on teams and the teams rotate to 5 different stations. One of them being a devotional led by our devotional Coordinator who will shares biblical principles and encourages the players to live a life with Christ. These stations include: Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, Defense/Footwork. During the last two weeks of the Clinic, participants play scrimmages, applying the skills they have learned.

The First Friends Sports Jr. High League is designed for boys in grade 7-8 who have had some experience playing basketball and are looking for fun and fellowship at the community level. This league is geared toward developing teamwork skills in addition to individual playing skills. For this league, intermediate basketballs (28.5) are used, and the hoop is raised to 10 feet.

20 minutes after each practice, we take time to share biblical principles with the players and encourage them to pursue a life with Christ in our huddle time. Players and coaches are also encouraged to memorize scripture verses weekly.

The First Friends Church (FFC) Men's Open Basketball League is designed for players of moderate to advanced skill levels to provide quality competition in a friendly fashion for men age 18 to 39 based on First Friends Sports Ministry concepts. During the post-game huddles each participant is introduced to the claims of Christ and are encouraged to share with each other how Christ is impacting their lives.
Registrations are on an individual basis, and all teams are made up of six to eight men and are drafted after the open gyms. Open gyms are for paid registered participants only!

The FFC Men's Basketball Leagues are designed to provide the most competitive men's league in the area. Based on FFC's "Overwhelming Victory" concepts, the Legends league is composed of men age 40+ and are intended to provide friendly, competitive play. We play 5 on 5 to ensure quality playing time for all.

Post-game huddles are mandatory. During this time of fellowship, each participant is introduced to the claims of Christ and is encouraged to share with each other how Christ is impacting their lives. For the Men's leagues, there will be an open sign up, with each team being drafted afterward.

The First Friends Church (FFC) Winter Co-Ed Volleyball League is composed of men and women age 18 and over. It is intended to provide fun competition and fellowship in a warm and friendly Christ centered environment. This league has two divisions, Scarlet and Gray. Scarlet division is for intermediate - advanced players and Gray division is for beginner to intermediate players. League begins in January and ends in April.

Flag 2 is a standard Flag Class using a 5 1/2 foot metal pole with a standard sized flag attached. There is a height requirement of 5ft for this class. This class will teach Standard Flag Guard Technique used for Marching Band, including basic movements: Drop Spins, Double Time, Back Scratchers, Butterfly, Simple Flip Tosses, Tick Tocks, Cones.

Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sound of one's tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. As such, it is also commonly considered to be a form of music. First Friends Dance teachers will give your child a combination of tap styles in a loving and safe atmosphere. Inspirational music and devotions will be shared in each class.

For beginner students age 6-10. Students will learn a step-by-step process of breaking an object or animal into smaller parts using line and shape in order to create an accurate drawing. Students will be encouraged to create interesting backgrounds and details using real-life examples and pictures. The instructor will develop additional curriculum based on student interest and ability in which students may explore color, texture, value, form, perspective, and/or proportions. Individual creativity will be encouraged.

Created for older learners and repeat students ages 9-14. Younger repeat students may be accepted with instructor's permission.
Older beginner and repeat students will work more independently using the line and shape skills taught in Drawing I, (and reinforced in this class) to create accurate drawings. Continued emphasis on creativity will encourage students to select unique backgrounds and details for their drawings. Based on student interest and previous experience, the instructor will develop plans for students to explore and apply skills involving color, texture, value, form, perspective and/or proportion more accurately. Repeat students may work on individual projects with instructor's permission.
